Description

This amendment is issued to respond to contractor's questions as follows: 1.(Q.) PLEASE CLARIFY..P.E. CERTIFIED, ENGINEERED AND TESTED. WE WOULD BE MAKING PER YOUR DRAWING. ASSUME THIS WAS PREVIOUSLY DONE. (A.) Professional Engineer certified and tes ted. Spanners should be load tested and accompanied by some type of certification which includes test date and certifier. Load test should be at least 20,000 lb capacity. 2.(Q.) KICK ANGES SHOWN CENTERED ON END VIEW AND ALSO SHOWN OFFSET ON ISO VIEW. WHI CH? (A.)Kick plate is a 90 degrees angle plate and is attached on the bottom, 12 from the end of the spanner. 3.(Q.)WHAT IS SPANNER OVERALL HEIGHT. 3-3/8 inches? (A.)The overall height of 3-3/8 inches to 4 inches is acceptable but spanners shall be n o higher than 4 inches. 4. (Q.)RE; ALUMINUM SIX FOOT SPANNERS. TRYING TO FIGURE OUT DRAWING. WOULD YOU HAVE DIGITAL PICTURE OR LOCATION WE COULD SEE ONE. OR OBTAIN SAMPLE UNIT FOR EVALUATION. (A.)Pictures of the spanners are located on the SDDC at website at www.sddc.army.mil. Follow the directions for accessing TEA Specs stated in the solicitation. 5.(Q.) WE ARE ORCA REGISTERED, DO WE STILL NEED TO SUPPLY A COPY OF COMPLETED 52.212-3? (A.)Yes, but only as required in the reference clause. 6.(Q.)SOLICITATION SAYS...SPANNERS SHALL MEET THE FOLLOWING SPECIFICATIONS: ALL ALUMINUM CONSTRUCTION; 20,000 LB SAFE WORKING LOAD (SWL) CAPACITY EACH; 2:L SAFETY FACTOR, P.E. CERTIFIED, ENGINEERED AND TESTED. WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR, OR TESTED? (A.)See Question 1. 7.(Q.)FOR THIS PROJECT IS THERE A NSN NUMBER OR A PREFERRED VENDOR? (A.) No 8.(Q.)IS THIS TRULY SET FOR SMALL BUSINESS OR CAN WE BID ON THIS PROJECT? (A.)This procurement is 100% Small Business Set Aside. The closing date of 10:00 am 18 Jan 07 remains unchanged.
