- The Aberdeen Area Indian Health Service is soliciting bids from American owned Native Firms for the removal and replacement of underground fuel storage tanks located on the Indian Health Service compound at Fort Yates, North Dakota. Contractors bidding on this project must have prior experience and knowledge in the removal and replacement of underground fuel storage tanks and must comply with all Federal, State, and local regulations. Work includes the removal and proper disposal of two (2) 10,000-gallon existing underground storage tanks and associated piping, liquids, sludge, and appurtenances; The Installation of one (1) 20,000-gallon underground steel double wall fuel storage tank with appurtenances; Installation of fuel oil fill apparatus; Installation of new underground carrier piping in containment piping; Connection of existing piping to the new piping at the building perimeter; and removal and replacement of selected sections of concrete sidewalk, as/if necessary. The proposed acquisition listed herein is to award to an Indian owned firm pursuant to the Buy Indian Act. Duration of the contract will be Sixty (60) days from the Notice to Proceed Date. IFB No. 241-BI-07-3552 will be available approximately fifteen (15) days after publication. There will be a non-refundable charge of twenty-five ($25.00) dollars for the solicitation documents. Project magnitude is $100,000.00 to $250,000.00. The Indian Preference clause in employment and subcontracting is made part of this solicitation and resultant contract.
