Description

The National Library of Medicine (NLM) intends to procure software maintenance on a sole source basis from Critical Path for the Center for Information Technology (CIT) under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 6.302-1. This software allows CIT engineers to build connections between NED and disparate sources with discrete data about people. These connections allow NED to consolidate the people data into a single authoritative data set in NED. The NED system is then used by many downstream NIH systems as their source for authoritative people information. NIH has a significant investment in the Critical Path software. There are no other vendors who have the necessary expertise to support this product or its implementation at NIH. This synopsis is being posted in accordance with the rules and regulations stated under FAR Part 13- Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
