- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Great Lakes Region has a requirement for the modernization of the Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) at the Rapid City Regional Airport, Rapid City, South Dakota. Work includes but is not limited to: 1. Replace facility power panels. 2. Vinyl asbestos floor tile abatement. 3. Replace door hardware. 4. Scarify/repave/re-stripe asphalt parking area. 5. Replace control cab flooring. 6. Replace restroom fixtures. 7. HVAC duct cleaning. 8. Air Handling unit motor replace and air balancing. 9. OPTION 1 - Modifications to stairwell landing hand rails, see sheet RAP-D-ATCT-A004, A005. 10. OPTION 2 - Replace Tower Cab Roof walkway, see sheet RAP-D-ATCT-A008. NAICS Code is 237299. Interested firms will be required to attend a pre-bid conference. The date and time of this conference will be given to all plan holders. The work will be performed in strict accordance with the specifications and contract provisions under the subject contract. Award of a firm-fixed-price contract is being contemplated to a responsible offeror who submits the responsive offer for this requirement. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSBDU), has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program is currently being revised. Please contact the OSBDU at the number below for details. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
