- ****** The solicitation for this requirement will be made available on or about February 1, 2007 and will be distributed solely through this website. Additionally, the anticipated date for receipt of quotes is February 27, 2007. Please submit any questions regarding this requirement via email to lwehling@bop.gov. All other information in original synopsis remains valid.****** The Federal Bureau of Prisons Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to solicit for the provision of Non-personal Optometry Services to be rendered onsite at the United States Penitentiary Big Sandy (USP) located in Inez, Kentucky. This solicitation should result in the offer of a contract award that will consist of a base year with four (4) twelve (12) month option periods for renewal. Estimated usage quantities for service are 12 one hour sessions per month for each contract year. The solicitation will be made available on or about January 2, 2007 and will be distributed solely through this website. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is February 2, 2007. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 621320 and the applicable small business size standard is $6.5 million. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
