Description

The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity proposes to award to Commonwealth Technologies, Inc., 5875 Barclay Drive, Alexandria, VA 22315-5709, on a sole source basis, for the purchase of services to retrofit and rebuild a Technicon Ektacytome ter to include remanufacturing peristaltic pumps, fabricate new acrylic cover, procure data acquisition system, test upgrades and provide instruction. To select another design/manufacturer to perform these services would require patent disclosure and agree ment, design and fabrication capability review, training of technical support and revalidation. This would result in months of delay on several projects and increase cost to the Government. This procurement shall be under other and full and open competit ion procedures in accordance with FAR 6.301-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quote. If no written responses are received at least fif teen (15) days after the publication of this response, the purchase will be awarded without further notice.
