Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemental with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation serves as a Request for Quotations for lodging in the Bartow/Victorville, California area. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses that are in ef fect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-12. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this acquisition is 721110, with a small business size standard of $6.5 million. The line item is: Item 0001- Single Occupancy lodging for ten (10) personnel from approximately 12 February through 6 April 2007. All rooms must include a fully equipped kitchenette with appliance (stove, refrigerator, and microwave) and internet access. Award will be based on the best value to the Government which includes room rates, room tax rate, and extended stay facilities such as coffee maker, microwave, refrigerators, internet access, TV, phone and on-site laundry facilities. Rates will not exceed the lodging portion of the local area per d iem rate authorized by the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR). The Government reserves the right to shift lodging dates and/or cancel completely at no additional cost to the Government. The Government reserves the right to cancel if lodging facility is unsati sfactory at no additional cost to the Government. The Government reserves the right to award to other than the lowest price if determined to be the best value to the Government. Payment shall be based on occupancy only. Facility must be registered with FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) Fire Prevention Control. The Government contemplates award of a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order resulting from this solicitation. The following clauses & provisions are incorporated and will remain in full effect in any resultant award. FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, offerors need to include a completed copy of the provision with its quotation. The clause at FAR 52.212-5 , Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition and is incorporated in full text with the following clauses in paragraph (b) and (c) checked as applicable: 52.203-6; 52.222- 21; 52.222-26; 52.222-35; 52.222-36; 52.222-37; 52.232-33.
