Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a contract to Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation (GAC) for the Sustaining Engineering support and limited depot maintenance of commercial off the shelf (COTS) C-20 aircraft. GAC, as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the Navy’s C-20 aircraft, is the only concern that has the requisite expertise, resources and proprietary data to perform these requirements. These requirements include aircraft structural, electrical, airframe, and avionics repair dispositions that are outside of the scope on the published Gulfstream Repair Manuals. There will be limited requirements for C-20 depot maintenance to be performed in conjunction with proprietary Aircraft Service changes, Customer Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, etc. The Government intends to award an indefinite delivery firm-fixed price contract for these services using a commercial type contract in accordance with FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items. Estimated contract value is 25 million, inclusive of the base year performance period and four (4) one year options. Numbered note #22 is applicable.
