ROADS CONSTRUCTION PROJECT PIR CHIP SEAL NO. 8: The Bureau of Indian Affairs, Western Regional Office, seeks Indian-Owned Construction Firms which can provide all labor, materials, equipment and services to hot asphalt-rubber chip seal coat, final fog seal and pavement markings on 7.533 miles of Route 42; Crack cleaning and sealing, hot asphalt-rubber chip seal coat, final fog seal and pavement markings on 15.207 miles of Route 42, Total project length of 22.740 miles. Tohono O'odham Nation, Pima County, Arizona. Estimated Price Range is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. ISSUE DATE o/a 15 FEB 2007. BID OPENING DATE o/a: 13 MARCH 2007. THIS PROCUREMENT IS SET-ASIDE FOR 51% INDIAN-OWNED AND CONTROLLED FIRMS UNDER THE "BUY INDIAN ACT." 25 U.S.C. 47, Section 7(b) of P.L. 93-638 (25 U.S.C. 450e) requires that preference opportunities in employment and training be given to Indian/Alaska Native individuals and that preference in award of subcontracts be given to Indian/Alaska Native economic enterprises.
