Description

The U.S. Geological Survey has a requirement to remodel The National Fish Health Research Lab Aquaculture Facility at the Leetown Science Center (LSC) in Kearneysville, WV. The Contractor shall have previous experience with Industrial Laboratory or Aquaculture Systems. The Base Bid and Alternate #1 shall be priced together. Alternate #2 and #3 shall be priced separately. Base Bid - Architectural/Structural, Mechanical Work, Plumbing Work, and Electrical Work in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications as outlined on the CD-ROM Drawings G-2. Alternate No. 1 - Architectural/Structural, Mechanical Work, Electrical Work in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications as outlined on the CD-ROM Drawings G-2. Alternate No. 2 - Architectural/Structural Work, Mechanical Work, Plumbing Work and Electrical Work as outlined in the CD-ROM Drawings G-2. Alternate No. 3 - Furnish the following equipment (Low Temperature Freezer, Bio-Safety Cabinet, Stainless Steel Work Tables and Shelving, Trash Receptacles, Stainless Steel Curtain Rod and Stainless Steel Coat Rack and Hooks) as outlined on the CD-ROM Drawings G-2. The RFP will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov/ on or about 02/14/2007. Proposals are due March 22, 2007 @ 2:00PM EST. The anticipated award date is 05/08/2007. The technical specifications and drawings will be mailed separately on CD-ROM. Prospective offerors must submit a request in writing for the CD-ROM to mfritts@usgs.gov. Requests must clearly state the company name and mailing address, a point of contact and phone/fax/email information. A site visit is planned for March 14, 2007 at 9:00am. The anticipated value of the construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The NAICS code is 236220. The size standard is $31.5 million. The proposed procurement is being issued as an UNRESTRICTED acquisition pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The performance period will be APPROXIMATELY 250 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. All responsible sources who have a valid Dun & Bradstreet Number may submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency.
