Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Acquisition Management Division intends to procure on a sole source basis with the University of Maryland College Park Foundation, Inc., College Park, MD for membership renewal to the University of Maryland?s Center for Micro Engineering (CEMIE) Industrial Affiliate Program, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This is a sole source procurement since CEMIE is the only such membership program available that will meet the consultation and facilities needs of the MicroElectroMechanical Systems (MEMS) project?s research milestones. A firm fixed-price Purchase Order with a one (1) year performance period will be awarded on or about March 15, 2007, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competition. However, the Government will consider all responses received by the closing date. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) will not be issued.
