- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office, intends to modify incumbent contract N00140-01-D-G604, with San Diego City College (SDCC) of San Diego, California, to extend the performance period from 9 April 2007 through 30 September 2007, for instructor services and course instruction, at the Naval Technical Training Center (NTTC), Meridian, Mississippi. The course titles are: Navy Keyboarding Laboratory Class, Ship's Serviceman (SH) Class A, Storekeeper (SK) Class A, Personnel Specialist (PS) Class A, Religious Programs Specialist (RP) Class A, Yeoman (YN) Class A and YN Class C (Flag Writer). The services of the incumbent contract are considered critical and vital to the Government and must be continued, without interruption, pending a competitive, follow-on award, anticipated to commence 9 April 2007. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. SDCC is the only known source that has the necessary contract infrastructure, including experience, expertise, facilities and trained personnel in place to perform all required services, without interruption, commencing 9 April 2006, at NTTC, Meridian. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or to submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within forty-five (45) days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information received. The applicable North American Industry Classification System code and size standard are 611513 and $6M, respectively. The anticipated issue date of the new, competitive, follow-on solicitation is 9 March 2007. Numbered Notes 22 and 26 apply.
