- The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, VA intends to award a Sole Source Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract to Talley Defense Systems, Inc., Mesa, AZ, for the following weapon systems: 1) M72AS Trainer Launchers, P/N 51670-9, NSN 1055-01-495-0009; 2) M72AS 21mm Subcaliber Training Rockets, NSN 1340-01-482-5049 (DODIC HA21); 3) M72AS 21mm Subcaliber Inert Trainer, NSN 1340-01-533-8258 (DODIC HA46); and 4) M72A7 LAW Systems, P/N 52390-5 M72A7 LAW w/Graze Fuze Function and NVD Mount, 66mm, NSN 1340-01-497-7630 (DODIC HA29). Talley Defense Systems, Inc. is currently producing these weapon systems for the Marine Corps under a sole source contract. Talley Defense Systems, Inc holds patent rights to these systems and possesses unique knowledge and production line capabilities for immediate production of the required items and is therefore the only vendor deemed qualified to provide this item. Estimated contract award date is July 2007. Deliveries will b e required to begin within 120 days after contract award. Duration of the contract will be 5 years. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 332993, Ammunition (Except Small Arms) Manufacturing. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements by submitting a white paper, technical data for the item, and past performance data no later than 12 March 2007 to Commanding General, Marine Corps Systems Command, Attn: Code PMM 2041, 2200 Lester St., Quantico, VA 22134. Responses received by 12 March 2007 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open basis is solely within the discretion of the Government. All contractors who provide goods/services to the DoD must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR). Online Certifications an d Representations at (ORCA), http://orca.bpn.gov, will also be require d. Failure to comply with ORCA registration may make a vendor offeror ineligible for award.
