Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (1), with Creative Marketing Associates Ltd of 9140Guilford Road Suite H, Columbia MD 21046 to procure an AC Calibrator.. The equipment will be used in NIST Quantum Electrical Metrology Division to measure thermal converters. Sole source determination is based on the need for an ac calibrator that has an uncertainty of 0.15 percent over 24 hours. Creative Marketing Associates Ltd is the only known vendor capable of meeting the requirement. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334515, and the size standard is 500 Employees. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the government will consider responses received by March 7, 2007. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposal acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
