- Amendment 2 Questions Answered The following questions and answers are provided. The time and date for receipt of quotes is unchanged. 1. Garrison Training ? Is this classroom setting / Range / CQB village setting? A: Garrison training is a classroom setting on Charleston AFB. 2. Is this training flights always separated or will they be combined for certain portions of this? A: All training will be in separated flights. 3. What is the total number of students that need to be trained in the alloted timeframe? A: 60 Students per para (vi)2 4. The Dates of 13-16 Mar and 17-21 Mar. When will the starting time be? A: 13-16 Mar 0730-1500, 17-21 Mar 0730-1600 Upon request a detailed list of the Combat arms and Convoy Training times can be provided via e-mail. Will Phase two run each flight only once thru a scenario exercise or will there be opportunity for more than one time thru? A: As many times as training hours allow. COMBINED SYNOPSIS - SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS (IAW FAR 12.603 (c)) (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) This solicitation/synopsis reference number is F1MTCC7040A100 and is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). (iii) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-12. (iv) This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The associated NAICS code is 611699 with a 6.5 million dollar size standard. (v) Contractors shall submit a lump sum quote for the Convoy and Close Quarter Battle Training. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered. (vi) Description of Requirement: 1. The 1st Combat Camera Sq requests a minimum of two instructors to teach the following areas Close Quarter Battle and Convoy Operations. Instructors will be required for 13-16 March is in Garrison training at Charleston AFB SC. Phase Two is Field Condition Training on 17-21 March at a semi-remote air field in the town of North, SC, near Orangeburg. During Phase Two the instructors are encouraged to stay with squadron cadre. We have field quarters available (6 man tents) with hot showers and commodes at no cost for field portion. The nearest hotel is 20 miles away. Instructors should plan on departing the local area on 22 March from field location (North Field). 2. One instructor per area of instruction is required for Close Quarters Combat/Patrol Tactics and Convoy Operations. The 1st Combat Camera Sq. will provide additional personnel for role players and safety oversight. These skills have to be compatible with current Army operations as employed primarily in Iraq. Each instructor will need to be able to teach 8-10 hours daily with a class size of 15 students. The students will be broken down into flights and will rotate daily. Each instructor will spend approximately one day per flight (4 flights total) over four days in-garrison and an additional one day per training flight in the field training. 3. Training results; Combat Camera members must be capable of accompanying Army field troops on most typical missions safely with a basic knowledge of Army tactics.
