Description
The contractor shall develop and implement a GIS training program for eight urban planning engineers from Kirkuk, Iraq. These urban planning engineers will ultimately assume the role of maintaining the Kirkuk Master Plan database. The training shall be planned and conducted between 1 April and 31 July 2007 at a location determined by the Contractor and approved by the Government. The following training courses shall be taught, at a minimum: a. Introduction to ArcGIS I b. Introduction to ArcGIS II c. Working with 3D Analyst d. Working with Spatial Analyst e. Building Geodatabase I f. Building Geodatabase II g. Programming ArcObjects with VBA h. Custom Project The Contractor shall include site visits in the training to demonstrate Government and Business application of GIS programs. The Contractor shall provide round-trip air transportation (airplane tickets ? economy class) to eight urban planning engineers from Kirkuk, Iraq. Additionally, the Contractor shall be responsible for coordinating for and obtaining visas for all personnel. All travel and associated costs must be approved by the Government before purchase. Failure to obtain this approval shall result in no reimbursement of the travel. The contractor shall provide accommodation for eight Iraqi engineers in a 3 Star hotel in double rooms. All costs must be approved by the Government before purchase. Failure to obtain this approval shall result in no reimbursement of the accommodations. The Contractor shall pay per diem allowances for meals and incidental expenses (M&IE) to the eight urban planning engineers during the training period at the rate of $25 per day during training and travel only. The Contractor shall provide all computer hardware and software needed for this training. Nine copies of the training materials shall be provided in hardcopy: one per participant and one copy for use as a reference for the project.
