- NAICS Code: 541820 Title: "Radiation Protection Division: Crisis Communication" Posting Date: February 26, 2007 Procurement Office: U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Administrative Contract Service Center (3803R), 1200 Pennsylvania Ave., NW Washington, DC 20460 Response Date: March 7, 2007 THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT, NOT A RFQ The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Radiation Protection Division (RPD) intends to award a sole source fixed-price purchase order under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Widmeyer Communications in Washington, DC. The purpose of this acquisition is to support RPD in implementing a multi-faceted program to help EPA communicate effectively during a crisis. The contractor will be responsible for a background assessment, the development of a discussion guide and online instrument, recruitment of participants for the interviews and online assessment, and the preparation of an integrated report that addresses objectives and discusses implications for future training and project outcomes. Widmeyer Communications is uniquely qualified in that it is the only company with in-depth experience in developing EPA crisis communications programs for radiological emergencies essential to the Agency's emergency preparedness. Widmeyer Communications has conducted a series of focus groups with EPA emergency responders and communicators to identify the questions and types of questions that they are most often asked during radiological emergencies and has conducted message mapping sessions specifically oriented to radiological emergencies with EPA emergency responders, communicators, radiation technical experts and policy makers to develop the responses. This is not a request for quotation. No contract will awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice.
