Description

This commercial acquisition includes the purchase of code and part number items where Sensata Technologies aka Texas Instruments Inc. (82647) is the approved manufacturer and/or has supplied the items in the past. The intent is to award an indefinite delivery type contract for a one year base and four option years. Solicitation and NSNs will be available for download on the Internet at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil on its issue date. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. For questions on the content of the solicitation contact the primary point of contact. NSNs are various. All responsible sources may submit an offer/quote which shall be considered. The solicitation will be available in FedBizOpps on its issue date of March 19, 2007. Specifications, plans or drawings are not available. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed 5 years. This proposed procurement includes a family group of items within the Federal Supply Class 5925 & 5930. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data; therefore, the Government intents to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Approved sources are (82647) Sensata Technologies aka Texas Instruments Inc. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.
