Description

The USDA, Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) intends to make a sole source award as authorized by 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) to Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) for a total of 409 parking spaces at 3101 Park Center Drive, Alexandria, VA. The contract will be awarded with a base period of 4 months, 9 one year option periods, and another option period of 8 months for a total of 120 months. JLL is the current owner of the parking garage at Park Center, and there are no other parking facilities that can accommodate this request. The reason for this action is that the parking spaces were left out of the new lease between GSA and JLL. These spaces were negotiated and paid for under the previous leases between GSA and any previous owners of Park Center. Due to the location of Park Center, there is not adequate access to public transportation for the employees of FNS. Parking remains a condition of employment that is negotiated with the National Treasury Employees Union. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All questions and/or comments to this notice need to be received no later than 11:00am, Friday, March 9, 2007.
