- This is a combined solicitations/synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005-15 are incorporated. Solicitation number 263-2007-Q-(DQ)-0109 is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This is a 100% Set Aside for small business with a North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) 541720. The period of performance is for a period of (9) months From date of award With (1) One year option. The number of hours is 625 for the base year and 832 hours for the option. The work schedule is flexible. This requirement is for a Contractor to Lead efforts for the Development of Research Areas in Genetic Epidemiology in the Behavioral and Social Research Portfolio. The Contractor shall perform specific tasks as follows: Behavioral and Social Research provide: Data Sharing Plans for Biological/Genetic Data Collected in Population Surveys Report with recommendations for BSR policies on Data Sharing agreements for grantees collecting biological and genetic data in conjunction with household/ population surveys and longitudinal studies. To be based on workshop reports and liaison with other NIH and HHS activities. The deliverable will be a Report with recommendations; Attend meetings and conferences and advise BSR about implications To include Chicago Biomarkers meeting and Behavioral Genetics Association (BGA) meeting in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The deliverables are reports on Chicago Biomarkers meeting and Behavior Genetics Association Prepare: Introduction to Journal Special Issue Introduction to special issue of papers from 2006 BGA symposium The deliverable is Introduction for BSR review; final introduction for submission to journal Participate in BSR Meetings on Genetics Participate in and contribute to 2-day meeting of experts on Economic Phenotypes. The deliverables are to suggest meeting presenters advise on agenda, Summarize recommendations and conclusions of meetings as they relate to BSR. Provide Portfolio Services Program-related work including, but not limited to: making recommendations on training and career development needs and on new program initiatives, to develop areas of science identified as needed program development; interaction with grant applicants; review of applications for relevance to BSR; trans-NIH activities (including Trans-NIH Committee on Genetics, Behavior, and Social Sciences); mentoring HSAs/research analysts in genetics; and other program-related work. The deliverables are to provide Written reports to BSR on meetings attended and summary reports for each month describing program-related work performed, with the number of hours spent per task noted. Write a chapter for inclusion in National Academies of Science volume on Cells and Surveys, synthesizing results and analyzing issues in collection of biomarkers in survey research on aging. Write genetics sections of Science Advances, Areas of Emphasis, Activities and Accomplishments, and Future Directions Source book 2008. Evaluation Factors Are: Far 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors ?
