- The United States Coast Guard, Maintenance Logistics Command Atlantic intends to issue a purchase order to Jo Kell Engineered Solutions Group for a Hydraulic Pump Motor Controller to be used on the U.S. Coast Guards 87 WPB patrol fleet. Electrical part to include: Motor controller and push button stations. The primary function of this electrical component is to replace, support and maintain the hydraulic improvement of the anchor door and boat handling equipment aboard the 87 Foot Patrol Boats (WPB). Award will be made in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Hydraulic Supply Company is the only company that has the technical propriety data necessary to manufacture the reengineered required parts in support of the existing 87 foot Class Patrol Boats. The requirement is for the manufacturing capability to perform a three year definite quantity definite delivery requirements contract. The estimated quantities are 22 the first year, 18 the second year, and 19 the third year. The solicitation will be released via Fedbizzops at www.fbo.gov. The applicable North American Industrial Classification Code (NAIC) is 333613 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The requirement will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition procedures per FAR 13.5 ? Test Program for Certain Commercial Items with an estimated value of between $50,000 to $200,000. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, the government will consider all information received within 5 days after the date of publication of this synopsis; March 5, 2006. Interested parties should submit a brief description of their capability to meet the requirements and business size. The business size shall include any applicable preference program (i.e. 8a, HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned).
