Description
This solicitation replaces SPM4A6-07-T-A040 in its entirety. Solicitation Number, SPM4A6-07-R-0501, 0014078075, NSN: 6810-00-559-3261, Lithium Hydroxide, Technical. QPL applies in accordance with MIL-L-20213E. Unit can (canister) shall contain 6.3 LB minimum to 6.5 LB maximum net weight. Shipping Name: Lithium Hydroxide, Monohydrate; Class 8, UN 2680, PGII. The following exceptions are taken to MIL-C-21004B dated 22 DEC 83 and Amendment 2 dated 6 DEC 91: (1) Paragraph 3.7 delete the use and emergency use instructions in their entirety; (2) Paragraph 3.7 delete the caution statement in its entirety and substitute the following: ?Caution: the carbon dioxide absorbent may cause severe burns on contact with skin, eyes, or breathing passages. Avoid inhalation of lithium hydroxide dust. In the event of skin or eye contact flush with water for 20 minutes. Seek medical attention after skin, eye or inhalation contact.? MSDS and OSHA Hazard Warning Label are required. Quality Assurance Provision (QAP) 010 applies. Quantity variance shall be + / - 10%. This is a synopsis for a non-commercial item in accordance with the procedures of FAR 5.201 and FAR 5.203. This is solicited as Full and Open Competition After Exclusion of Sources as unrestricted and will result in a Firm Fixed-Priced Contract for a quantity of 923 cans (CN). A 100% Quantity Option shall be included in the solicitation. Progress payments shall not be included in the solicitation. This is a Critical Application Item. This is not a Critical Safety Item (CSI). DLA-Direct lines only to Richmond, VA (SRG) ? qty 713 CN & Tracy, CA (AQ5) ? qty 210 CN. FOB: Destination, Inspection and Acceptance at Destination. Required delivery is 90 days ARO. Automated Best Value System (ABVS) applies. The final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. The solicitation will be issued on March 19, 2007 with a closing date of April 19, 2007.
