Description
B-2/MASSIVE ORDNANCE PENETRATOR FY07 PLUS UP The Air Armament Center (AAC), Technology Transition and Concept Division, AAC/XRS, Eglin AFB, FL is contemplating a sole source firm-fixed price contract to The Boeing Company, St. Louis, MO. The requirement is to provide initial support for integrating the Massive Ordnance Penetrator onto the B-2 aircraft, including planning for fit checks, flight tests, and a follow-on acquisition of a limited number of Massive Ordnance Penetrator assets. The effort will require the ability to identify and plan for the resolution of all issues related to the carriage of Massive Ordnance Penetrator on B-2 aircraft, the ability to plan for production of Massive Ordnance Penetrator assets and support equipment, and the ability to develop fielding and logistics plans for Massive Ordnance Penetrator. The contractor must be able to provide engineers with a SECRET level clearance in accordance with Industrial Security Manual (DoD 5220.22M) by contract award. In addition, the contractor must have been engaged in this type of weapon integration for at least 2 years, have successfully managed and maintained professional support to customers for at least 2 years, possess the necessary equipment, personnel, and financial resources to fulfill the requirements of this contract, and possess the experience and capability to accomplish the integration and planning efforts required in the contract. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it is not the Government?s intention to pay for information solicited at this time. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Boeing Company is the only known company that currently meets the qualifications spelled out in the paragraph above.
