Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC), PG-13 Infantry Weapons Systems (IWS), Optics and Non-Lethal Systems (ONS), intends to procure, an off-axis collimator and fold mirror for the purpose of testing optical and electro-optical systems. The newly established Electro-Optic Test Facility (EOTF), requires an off-axis parabolic collimator and fold mirror in a Newtonian configuration for the purpose of experimentation, evaluation, diagnostics and characterization of MCSC optical equipment. This collimator must be operable in the Visible to the Long Wave Infrared (0.4-14.0 microns) in order to be used to quantify, characterize, diagnose and test advanced day optics, image intensifiers, thermal imagers, fused systems and laser systems. This is a combined synopsis/ solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation applicable to this procurement is attached. The solicitation number for this procurement is M67854-07-Q-1028 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular Fac 2005-12, Effective 04 Aug 2006. This procurement is unrestricted. All contractors who provide goods/services to the DoD must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR). Online Certifications and Representations at (ORCA), http://orca.bpn.gov, will also be required. Failure to comply with ORCA registration may make a vendor offeror ineligible for award. All questions regarding this requirement must be submitted to Stasia Baker at stasia.baker@usmc.mil no later than March 12, 2007 at 12:00pm local time. Responses for all questions will be provided by 12:00pm, local time, March 14, 2007. Late questions will not be answered. All offers are due no later than 12:00pm local time on March 19, 2007.
