Item 0001 NSN 4710-00-283-4999NZ P/N: 4031284 Applicable to F-100Engine. Size/Dimensions: Approx 14 inches long; 0.875 inches diameter. Form/Fit/Function: The Tube Assembly used on F100 engine to transfer hot oil from the main oil filter housing to the fuel oil cooler. Predominant material of manufacture: Steel, AMS5646. Delivery: Range between 94 min and 282 max each by 30 Mar 2007 to Tinker AFB, OK. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 18 Dec 06. The anticipated award date will be 19 Jan 07. Written procedure will be used for this solicitation. Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. These qualification requirements apply to Line Item 0001. First Article Testing is required. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Justification: supplies (or Services) required are available from only or a limited number of responsible sources(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualifications requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR Clause 52.209-1. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualifications requirements as cited in each individual solicitation. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Note: award will be made to the qualified source with the lowest price and technical acceptability as detailed in the solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel.
