Description
The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest intends to issue a solicitation for changing the current profile and alignment of Armstrong Creek Forest Road 2371, Old 101, to increase user safety. There is cut/fill work, culvert pipe installations, paving, and associated work. The project is estimated between $100,000 and $200,000. A bid guarantee is required. Payment and performance bonds will be required. The project is located south of the town of Armstrong Creek in northereastern Wisconsin. The project must be completed by September 1, 2007. The solicitation will be a best value award based upon technical factors in addition to price. All pertinent documents will be posted electronically. A site visit is scheduled for March 14, 2007, 10:00 a.m. CST. The contract awardee will be required to acknowledge that a site visit has been made.
