Description

The Government intends to award a noncompetitive purchase order to Motorola using simplified acquisition procedures authorized by FAR Part 13 for the following equipment: Astro Digital XTS500 Portable Radio (800 MHz, trunking-sescure) Model I 764-870Mhz 1-3W (15 each, with DVI-XL Encryption); Base station XTL 5000 Mobile 10-35 Watt, 764-870Mhz. Remote Mount (waterproof remote hardware) Mobile (12VDC; 1 each, with control head software); Repeater station X750 (trunking-secure, with 800 Mhz Band RX 806-825 Mhz/TX 851-870 Mhz, 100-20 Watts, Astro W/L Interface V. 24, and 24VDC Power Supply Option for Solar, 1 each). These items will be donated for use by the government of Haiti under the Department's international narcotics and law enforcement program. The specified equipment is required to be compatible with the existing secure radio communications system. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations; this acquisition will be processed using the authority in FAR 13.106-1(b). See note 22 with the exception that the time period for receipt of quotations for consideration is 5 days instead of 45 days. Solicitation is not available at this time. Information must be received by noon Ft. Lauderdale time on March 14, 2007 and will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to change the acquisition strategy.
