Description
DYES, Solvent Yellow 33 (Metric), Solvent Green 3 (Metric), Disperse, Red 9, Mix, Violet (Metric). Solicitation number W52P1J-07-R-3003 will establish a firm fixed price contract with estimated base quantities of 84,963 lbs of yellow dye, 45,162 lbs of green dye, 14,016 lbs of red dye, and 52,386 lbs of violet dye with two ordering periods for each color. FOB: Destination, Pine Bluff Arsenal, 10020 Kabrich Circle, Pine Bluff, AR 71602-9500. A preaward dye sample will be required for each color to be delivered to Pine Bluff Arsenal for testing. The dye characte ristics must include: the average (or mean) particle size, the particle size distribution, and the percent of particle size that is less than 10 microns. The requirements for the particle size is a mean particle size of between 30 and 45 microns, with th e total distribution having only one mode (single-peak distribution) and no more than 20 percent of total particle size distribution shall fall below 10 microns. The request for proposal will contain the time and date the samples are required to be at Pin e Bluff Arsenal and when the proposals are required to be received at the US Army Sustainment Command. The proposed contract is restricted to domestic sources, that is the National Technology Industrial Base. Accordingly, foreign sources, except Canadian sources, are not eligible for award. The solicitation is anticipated to be available on the Internet on or about March 26, 2007 with a closing date 45 days from its issuance on The Army Single Face to Industry website at http://acquisition.army.mil. Ven dors are advised to periodically to check the web site for amendments or other updates. The drawings for the dyes are labeled Distribution Statement D which means the distribution is authorized to the Department of Defense and U.S. DoD contractors only. Vendors must be certified with the US/Canada Joint Certification Program in order to obtain the drawings. Information is available at http://www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp.
