- This solicitation invites proposals for the two construction projects within the Memphis, TN ? Desoto Building located at 161 G.E. The existing Carrier Annex at the rear of the facility is to be altered, while the front portion of the building is new construction for the Inspection Service Office. Construction is to be conducted at both locations simultaneously with the Carrier portion completed by September 30, 2007 and the Inspection Service portion completed by November 1, 2007. The carrier annex will contain approximately 20,900 sq. ft and the renovation work includes, but is not limited to, concrete, masonry, carpentry, insulation, hollow metal doors, metal studs, gyp board, lay-in ceiling tile, ceramic tile, asphalt plank flooring to match the existing, vinyl composition tile flooring, carpet, painting, electrical mechanical, plumbing, utilities and other work associated with postal facilities. The Carrier Annex is to remain operational and the construction must be phased so as not to interrupt the carriers. For example, construction is to cease in the Annex between 8 am and 11 am Monday through Saturday. The Inspection Service Offices are to be constructed in the vacated portion of the building and phasing is not required. These offices contain approximately 15,500 sq. ft. and include all of the above scope of work plus: concrete slab cutting, new custom entry doors, an open staircase and an exterior cleaning on the stone fa?ade. Bonds must be received within 10 days from receipt of Intent to Award. Minimum Years in Business: Your company must have been in business, under the firm?s present name, for a minimum of five (5) consecutive years. Financial Capability: The successful offeror must demonstrate the ability to provide appropriate bonding and sufficient insurance as required by this solicitation. Financial capability includes the offeror?s satisfactory working relationship with a financial institute and surety agency. Capacity/Resources: The successful offeror must demonstrate sufficient in-house resources to successfully complete a minimum of 12% of the work before subcontracting when considering their present workload. Provide an organizational chart. Identify and provide a resume for persons, who will be assigned to this contract. Cost range: $2,100,000 - $2,300,000 Construction.
