Description
NAICS Code: 561499 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Air and Waste Management Association (AWMA),One Gateway Center, 420 Fort Dusquesne Blvd., Pittsburgh, PA 15222, for management of the International Society of Exposure Analysis (ISEA) Conference in Durham, North Caroline, October 14 -18, 2007. The international conference presents advances in the science of expose analysis related to environmental contaminants for both human population and ecosystems. The ISEA, an international non-profit organization, was established in 1989 to foster and advance the science of exposure analysis related to environmental contaminants, both for human populations and ecosystems. The membership promotes communication among all disciplines involved in exposure analysis and works to strengthen the impact of expose assessment on environmental policy. The ISEA has contracted with AWMA for the logistical and planning support for the 2007 ISEA Conference. ISEA is the lead sponsor of this event. The EPA along with other Federal Agencies, private corporations, and Universities will be co-sponsors. Therefore EPA has identified Air and Waste the only vendor capable of satisfy the requirement. The circumstance permitting "other than full and open competition" is FAR 13.106(B)only one source reasonably available. The intent of this notice is to determine if any other source(s) exist, and therefore, no solicitation (RFQ) is available. Consequently, any response failing to provided the aforementioned data and instead choosing to merely submit a routine letter requesting a copy of the RFQ will be ignored. The information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties who can meet the above requirements may submit written qualification statements, fully explaining their capability no later than 10 days after the date of this publication.
