- Single award term contract for the period beginning Date of Award and ending February 29, 2008 for the Department of Commerce (Census Bureay). Orders are for questionnaires, letters and envelopes (20 different items), collated to make up different packages requiring such operations as electronic prepress, printing in one and or two colors, folding, envelope construction, collating/gathering, inserting, packing, and distribution. Anticipate approximately 56 orders for various package configurations. Items consist of 8-1/2 x 11? sheets for questionnaires and forms printing on White Opacified book 50 lb or White Offset Book 50 lb, and two sizes of envelopes, 5-7/8 x 9 and 6-1/16 x 9-3/4 printing on White Wove 24 lb and White Wove 28 lb. Quantities range from 500 to 94,000 per order. Some items print head to head in Black ink and Process Cyan, others print one side only or head to head in Black ink. Envelopes print either face only or face and back with Black ink or Black ink and Pantone 199 Red. Some envelopes require a security pantograph printed in black ink on inside of envelope. Quality Level II required. The Predominant Production Function is Binding and Packaging. Printing and envelope construction may be subcontracted. Bid opening is March 29, 2007.
