- The purpose of this amendment is to offer some clarification on this notice. I. This notice is in accordance with FAR Part 12 with the implementation of FAR Part 13.5. II. Cost is not an evaluating factor, however, as with all Government procurements cost will be considered. III. As prescribed by FAR Part 12, FAR clauses 52.212-4 and 52.212-5 will apply to this notice and any resultant procurement. IV. The approximate time required for each of the tasks are as follows: 1) Prepare and edit articles for inclusion in NLM quarterly publications, NIHMedlinePlus and NEWSLINE (40 hours per week/52 weeks per year); 2) Prepare and edit biographies of women physicians nominated by congressional representatives for inclusion on NLM?s Local Legends web site, as needed (4 hours per biography, including research/about 50 biiographies per year); 3) Research, draft, revise, and prepare podcasts for use by the NLM Director in his weekly podcast (4 hours per podcast/1 per month); 4) Coordinate the development, drafting, revision, technical review, and fact-checking of conference proceedings as requested by OCPL staff (40 hours per conference/ 4 conferences per year); 5) Participate in twice-weekly conference call meetings of NLM OCPL staff, and contractors involved in producing the magazines and other outreach materials prepared by OCPL (2 ninety-minute meetings per week/52 weeks per year); 6) Act as liaison with contract writers, information sources, NLM and NIH staff and others to ensure the efficient review, revision and approval of editorial material for NIHMedlinePlus quarterly publication (2 hours per week/52 weeks per year); 7) Contribute ongoing editorial and design oversight to ensure the highest quality publication of OCPL outreach materials (2 hours per week/ 52 weeks per year); 8) Write and produce NLM promotional materials as requested by OCPL staff (4 hours per article/10 articles or writing assignments per year).
