Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA, is soliciting a proposal to procure the following on an other than full and open competition basis: the manufacture of 70 ea (63 ea deliverable) BBU-60/B Booster, Fuze devices (with optional quantities totaling up to 175 ea BBU-60/B Booster, Fuze devices) in accordance with item Specification AS-6127 in support of the SLAM-Expanded Response missile program. The deliverable optional quantities will be 25 ea, 50 ea, and 100 ea BBU-60/B Boosters. This requirement will be solicited on another than full and open competition basis with Reynolds Systems Incorporated, Middletown, CA, as Reynolds Systems Inc. is the only qualified source to build BBU-60/B boosters. The contractor will fabricate, assemble, inspect, and test to the Government item specification and drawings. The Government anticipates award of a firm fixed price contract for this effort. First Unit Inspection, Dimensional Verification and Lot Acc eptance Testing including Destructive Testing, in accordance with Specification AS-6127, will be required. Delivery of the boosters will be FOB Destination to the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, California, 150 days after contract award. Partial and early deliveries are acceptable. Award is scheduled to occur by 31 Aug 07. The Request for Proposal will be issued on or about 9 Apr 07, and the solicitation will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website at http://www.neco.navy.mil and the FEDBIZOPPS website at http://www.fbo.gov/. The Government anticipates a 30-day response time for receipt of proposals. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. Responses to this intent to solicit, other than from the source listed, will be required to submit information in writing to verify their prior experience in manufacturing Boosters that meet stringent tolerances.
