Description

The U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM) Contracting Activity plans to solicit Avon Protection Systems, Inc., 503 8th Street, Cadillac, MI 49601-9282, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A) for a Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) quantity of the Joint Service General Purpose Mask (JSGPM). The proposed action, a modification to existing contract DAAD13-00-C-0021 shall require the contractor to deliver a quantity of 65,000 JSGPM Masks. The contract will be priced on a Firm Fixed Price basis and will have a period of performance of eight months. Note 22 applies. The proposed action is limited to one source since the government would incur a substantial duplication of costs that would not be recovered through competiti on if award was made to another firm.
