- Description
- The U.S. Army Joint Munitions & Lethality Life Cycle Management Command is seeking proven developers with extensive experience and facilities in place to validate producibility of the improved M4 Selectable Lightweight Attack Munition (SLAM). A planned one year and a three months effort is estimated to include identifying and implementing corrective actions to the failures found during Government Production Qualification Test (PQT), fabrication and delivery of test hardware for the Pre-production Evaluation Test (PPET) that will be conducted by the Government to validate producibility of the Improved SLAM, performing Production Qualification Audit and delivery of level III TDP to the Government. The effort will include magnetic and Passive Infrared (PIR) sensors, munition controls, electronic packaging, and warhead. Capability must include experience and facilities for development, laboratory and field-testing of devices containing magnetic and PIR sensors and explosives, failure analysis, and fabrication of the electronic and mechanical assemblies similar to the M4 SLAM. The developer must have experience with loading HE explosives into munitions and then firing these munitions into target plates. Information in general to be submitted should include your organization name/address/point of contact identification, capabilities, facilities, successful experience in developing and producing munitions, inspection capability, and whether the company is a small or large business. .
