Description
Air Seal Item 0001 NSN: 2840-01-448-7032, P/N: 4083237-01 Item Description: The function of the seal is to align the turbine vanes. Applicable to: F100 PW229 Engine Delivery: 30 June 2008 Quantity Range: 37 - 111 EA New Material Solicited. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 6 April 2007. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 13 April 2007. The anticipated award date will be 20 April 2007. No telephone requests. The solicitation will be available for download at www.fbo.gov. This requirment is restricted to approved sources. Currently, United Technologies is the only approved source. All contractors interested in qualifying will have to meet MQR-1, Tinker AFB Engineering requirements and FAR clause 52.209-1 for source approval. Non-approved sources wishing to submit a proposal may do so, however, only qualified sources will be considered for award. First Articles may be required from newly approved sources. EXPORT CONTROL: Foreign owned firms are advised to contact the Contracting Officer before submitting a proposal to determine whether there are restrictions on receiving an award. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
