- Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) is seeking expressions of interest, technical comments and budgetary estimates from firms interested in the recondition of Perkin Rectifiers labeled units 1, 2, and 7, located at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, Princeton, New Jersey. Preliminary drawings of the rectifiers are available for viewing and download at the PPPL Procurement Division web site, http://oorm-1.pppl.gov/public/procurement/.The drawing listed as ?Existing Schematic? depicts the as-built configuration on Units 1 and 2. Unit 7 has the induction regulator replaced with a solid state starter. The drawing listed as ?Proposed Changes Units 1 & 2? is what is desired as the upgrade after refurbishing. Controls are not shown; however, the controls shall be Ethernet compatible. The drawing listed as ?Proposed Changes Unit 7? is what is desired as the upgrade after refurbishing. There is a requirement to add a delta/wye transformer on the load side of the solid state starter. Controls are not shown; however, the controls shall be Ethernet compatible. It should be noted that these rectifiers are circa 1965. Firms interested in this project are requested to provide written expressions of interest to PPPL.
