Description

The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Rigaku, Inc. for one High Resolution X-Ray Generator (Rigaku Ultra X-18VB3 with 18kW of power, a direct-drive anode and a completely moveable tube tower) and one 18kW Heat Exchanger (Haskris - 3 Phase, 60Hz and 25 amps) for the VAMC Milwaukee, located in WI. The VAMC Milwaukee requires the system from Rigaku Inc because it is the only known 18kW x-ray generator with a direct-drive anode and completely moveable tube tower. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and service, to the Contracting Officer within (7) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC GLAC, 5000 W. National Ave Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295 or via fax to (414) 902-5440. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Rigaku, Inc.
