Description

A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are adequate SBA HUBZone Certified Small Businesses, SBA 8(a) certified, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) for this project. The project consists of constructing an A rmy Reserve Center (ARC), Organizational Maintenance Shop (OMS), Unheated Storage Building Alteration, and Organizational Parking. The buildings will be of a permanent construction with reinforced concrete foundations, concrete floor slabs, structural ste el frames, masonry veneer, and the latest state-of-the-art heating, cooling, and electrical systems. Supporting facilities include land clearing, paving, fencing, general site improvements, special foundations, and utility upgrades to bring electricity, w ater, gas and sewer into the site as well as connecting it to the buildings. Physical security measures will be incorporated into the design including maximum standoff distance from roads, parking areas, and vehicle unloading areas. Berms, heavy landscap ing, and bollards will be used to prevent access when standoff distance cannot be maintained. Demolish 3 building at Naval Air Stations, Fort Worth, TX (total 740 m2/7,969 SF). Air Conditioning, estimated 563 KWr/160 tons). This project is planned for a dvertisement in December 2007 with award by 31 March 2008. NAICS code for this acquisition is 236220. Contract duration is 540 days. Estimated cost range is $10 - $25 Million. Your response should include the following: (i) Identify the appropriate business category (Certified HUBZone Small Business, an 8(a) Small Business, or a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB)), (ii) Past experience  Submit proof of projects that you have completed including the name of the project, the construction start and completion dates, the final dollar amount of the contract and a short description of your role and work performed and a Point of Contract and Phone Number for the owner of the project. To be considered you must: a) have served as a prime contractor (add joint venture information if applicable), b) the work must have been successfully completed within the last five years, c) the projects must be similar in size, scope and dollar value to the project of interest, d) percent of self-performed work and how it was accomplished, e) a letter from your bonding company statin g you are bondable for the project indicated in number paragraph 1 above. NOTE: If qualified SBA HUBZone certified, SBA 8(a) certified, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business contractors do not respond, this planned action will be advertised as an unrestricted competitive procurement. NOTE: This is not a Solicitation Announcement or Request for Proposal, and it does not constitute any commitment by the Government. No award will result from this Market Survey. The purpose is to conduct market research to gain knowledge of potentially qualified sources. Responses to this sources sought notice must be used by the government to make appropriate acquisition decisions.
