Description

The Norfolk District is offering for sale approximately 4908 tons of standing pine sawtimber, 372 tons of standing pine chip-n-saw, 6551 tons of standing pine pulpwood, 2074 tons of standing hardwood sawtimber, and 1566 tons of standing hardwood pulp wood on approximately 124.2 acres at Fort Lee, Virginia. The total number of items for this sale is one (1). The timber to be sold may be inspected by prospective purchasers through April 17, 2007. Arrangements for inspections should be made by contacti ng Mr. Alan Mills, telephone (804) 734-3560 at Fort Lee or Mr. Paul Carter, telephone (434) 292-2500, or (757) 613-7848 (cell) with the Norfolk District Corps of Engineers. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m., April 19, 2007, by the Acquisition, Management and Disposal Section, Real Estate Branch, Norfolk District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, Virginia 23510-1096, and then and there publicly opened and announced. Forms for use in submitting bids may be obtained from Mr . Carter at Fort Pickett or from the Acquisition, Management and Disposal Section, address shown above. Terms and conditions of sale, procedure for submitting bids, and a description of the timber are contained in the bid forms. This sale will be sold by Weight.
