Description

PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: The VA National Acquisition Will issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) VA-797-07-RP-0013 for the Department of Veterans Affairs for Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, TENS, units. Estimated Annual Usage for TENS units is 41,000 units. Specifications are as follows: Unit is Dual Channel, Waveform is Symmetric pulse, includes 2 Sets of Lead Wires, Includes 2 Rechargeable batteries, Includes Battery Charger, Includes Four (4) 2" x 2" self adhesive, reusable electrodes, Includes Carrying Case and Has FDA 510(k) market approval. Only one award will be made through this solicitation. The estimated quantities listed above are for VA only. The contract period will be for one base year plus four one year option periods. If the offeror is not a manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offerer and the manufacturer must be submitted with the offer and remain in effect for the duration of the contract to include the option years. Solicitation number VA-797-07-RP-0013 will be electronically issued in commercial item format in accordance with FAR Part 12 on or about November 9, 2006 with a closing date of 30 days from the solicitation issuance date. The NAICs code for this procurement is 339113. Any future amendments and other miscellaneous documents will be available electronically for download at the following URL http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be available and no telephone requests for paper copies of the solicitation will be accepted.
