Description

The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Division intends to procure on a sole source basis from Mauna Kea Infrared (MKI) of Hilo, HI services to repair damage to the U.S. Naval Observatory, Flagstaff Station?s (USNOFS) ASTROCAM infrared imaging camera. MKI is the only known vendor to have the required hardware, electronics, and software expertise to repair the USNO camera. The resultant contract is anticipated to commence 1 Jul 07 through 31 Mar 08. A time-and-materials type contract is anticipated. The estimated level of effort is 745 hours. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811213. The solicitation will be made available electronically upon its release, which is anticipated on or about 30 Apr 07 at the NECO web address: www.neco.navy.mil. Interested parties may download the RFQ from the NECO website and are solely responsible for monitoring the above-mentioned website for posting. See note: 22 Quoters shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be considered for award. See www.ccr.gov for further information and instructions.
