Description

SOURCES SOUGHT The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Contracting & General Services Office in Portland, OR has a requirement at the Stockton Fish & Wildlife Office; (San Joaquin County) Stockton, CA to procure a new Lobster Style Trawler. This procurement is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Clause 52.232-18 Availability of Funds. Selection process shall be "Best Value" (Experience, Past Performance, and Price) in accordance with FAR Clause 52.212-02 Evaluation - Commercial Items. Delivery terms shall be f.o.b. destination in accordance with FAR Clause 52.247-34, (delivered to local marina). Current FAR Subparts, Provisions, and Clauses may be referenced at http://acquisition.gov/far/index.html . A basic description of the salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics that an offeror must meet to be acceptable for award: 42' (length overall) East Coast Style Lobster Trawler plus delivery, to be used as Fisheries Research Vessel. FWS will be issuing a future solicitation which shall include attachments and should be issued by May 7, 2007 and shall only be available electronically through a link to the National Business Center Interior Electronic Acquisition System - Electronic Commerce at http://www.fedbizopps.gov or http://www.nbc.gov . No further notice shall be posted on FedBizOpps. For assistance in downloading information from the National Business Center, contact the helpdesk at (703) 390-6633. Interested vendors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and complete Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) at http://www.bpn.gov/ . NOTE: This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns; however the government is accepting quotes from large businesses. In the event of insufficient small business concern participation, award will be made to participating large business. The associated North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 336612, Product or Service code (PSC) is 1920, and small business size standard is 500 employees.
