Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command, Program Manager for Ammunition, Quantico, VA intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to Black Hills Ammunition, Inc. 3050 Eglin Street, Rapid City, SD 57703 for 20,000 cartridges of .223 80 grain Sierra Match .223 Small Arms Ammunition (500 Cartridges per case). Lot# BLH05M100-001 Box Code 2712193415 Moly Coated, White box. This requirement is in support of the U.S. Marine Corps Competition-In-Arms Program. This specific round from Black Hills has been developed for and tested by the Weapons Training Battalion for use in their competitions and is currently the only approved round of that caliber in their inventory. Estimated purchase order award date is 1 May 2007. Deliveries will be required to begin within 30 days after purchase order award. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 332992, Small Arms Ammunition Manufacturing. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. However, responsible sources may submit a response which, if timely received, must be considered by the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements by submitting a white paper, technical data for the item, and past performance data no later than 18 April 2007 t o Commanding General, Marine Corps Systems Command, Attn: Code PMM 2041 (Contracting Officer), 2200 Lester St., Quantico, VA 22134. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open basis is solely within the discretion of the Government. All contractors who provide goods/services to the DoD must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR). Online Certifications and Representations at (ORCA), http://orca.bpn.gov, will also be required. Failure to comply with ORCA registration may make a vendor offeror ineligible for award.
