Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice. The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound has a requirement to procure 1 each of SSBN 726 class stern tube shaft forward sleeve. Forward sleeve to include chemical and mechanical properties certification, weldability test, liquid penetrant test, and radiographic test report. The Government requires an FOB Destination to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, WA no later than July 27, 2007. This requirement will be evaluated on a best value basis. Copies of MIL/FED specs, QPL, may be obtained from the ASSIST database on the Internet at http://assist.daps.dla.mil/online/start/. The noncommercial solicitation, N00406-07-R-7105, will be issued on or about 15 March 2007 with a closing date of on or about 16 April 2007. Proposed contract to be procured as a firm fixed price requirement in accordance with FAR Part 15. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: http://www.neco.navy.mil. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents. No telephone or fax requests will be accepted, and no hard-copy solicitation/amendment will be mailed or faxed. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by FISCPS. Electronic submission of proposals/quotes is not available at this time.
