Description

The principal components of the work consists of: 1) saw cut and remove existing concrete within the spillway; 2) repair or replace the existing reinforcement (as needed); 3) remove and replace existing waterstops in damaged areas; 4) place new concrete in the areas to be repaired using replacement concrete; and 5) Remove and replace electrical junction boxes. Spillway access work associated with these specifications cannot begin until after August 1st, 2007 and must be completed by November 30th, 2007. The estimated price range of the work is between $100,000 to $250,000. Solicitation packages are estimated to be available on April 24, 2007. Requests should be received on or before May 11, 2007. The bid opening is tentetively scheduled for May 24, 2007 and will be held at the Great Plains Regional Office, 316 North 26th Street, Room 2035, Billings, Montana. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitaiton, additional copies will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 each. After issuance, the solicitation may be viewed without charge, at the Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Regional Office, 316 North 25th Street, Billings, Montana and the Bureau of Reclamation, Chester (Tiber) Office, 4775 867 E., Chester, Montana. Prospective offerors desiring to visit the work site should make arrangements with Mr. Ed Hedlund, Chester (Tiber) Office, Chester, Montana, telephone (406) 456-3229. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. The NAICS Code is 238190. The Small Business size standard is $13 Million. The specifications and drawings will not be posted to the internet: however, a complete solicitaiton package is available in hard copy. To request a hard copy of the solicitation, contractors must fax a request to (406) 247-7798, Attn: Hart BlackEagle. The requestor must include the contractor's name, phone/fax number, Federal tax identification number and Dun and Bradstreet number. NOTE: Effective October 1, 2003, any contractor interested in doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). This registration process can be obtained via the CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov or by calling 1-888-227-2423.
