Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), Region 5, is planning a solicitation for the Replacement of Mechnical Room Components at the Green Lake National Fish Hatchery, Hancock County, Ellsworth, Maine. This solicitation will use a Request for Quotation method as outline in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Parts 13 and 15. The ultimate contract award will be based on the best overall value to the goverment with the past performance of interested qualified firms being a major deciding factor. The project consists of disassembling and removing an existing deteriorated plywood degasser unit and replacing it with a new degasser unit fabricated and constructed of type 5052 marine grade aluminum. The work under this proposed contract also includes furnishing and installing approximately 200 linear feet of thermal pipe installation around existing 2" and 3" diameter steel pipe and associated fittings and removing and replacing four (4) point of use water heaters. The estimated magnitude of construction for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The NAICS is 238220. This procurement is set-aside for small business. All responsive, responsible, offerors, with a strong positive past performance history, are invited to participate in the quotation process and will be considered for contract award.
