Description
The FAA is seeking Viking Sprinkler System approved installers to perform upgrades to the existing Viking systems located at our Air Route Traffic Control Center facilities in Farmington, Minnesota and Indianapolis, Indiana. The scope of work for the Farmington Facility is to modify the existing Viking Firecycle fire suppression sprinkler systems (10 zones total - Zones 1, 2 and 4 thru 11). In addition, Zones 7 and 11 shall be upgraded from Fire Cycle II systems to the Trimpac Fire Cycle III systems. At the Indianapolis Facility modify the existing Viking Firecycle fire suppression sprinkler systems (10 zones total - Zones 2 thru 11). Both locations are to comply with the current Viking Firecycle installation criteria and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 13. Note: When the project is complete, a Jacobs Engineering Representative must be invited on-site to witness the acceptance test. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Viking fire protection system modifications as identified in "Viking Fire Suppression System Modifications (Narrative)2. Modifications in accordance with specifications: a. Section 07840 - THROUGH PENETRATION FIRESTOP SYSTEMS b. Section 13850 - FIRE ALARM AND DETECTION SYSTEMS c. Section 13900 - FIRE SUPPRESSION SPRINKLER SYSTEM Offer range is between $50,000 and $75,000 with a performance time of approximately 60 calendar days. Construction start is anticipated for summer 2007. Interested firms should submit a letter of interest to the above named Contracting Officer along with the following documentation: 1.) Viking System certification and 2.) similar projects performed over the last 5 year period. Submit this letter via email to melody.mcgovern@faa.gov or fax to 847/294-7801. The Request For Offer is anticipated to be available by May 2007. FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
