Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice Only for 8(a) Interests. Acquisition, Management and Integration Center, Langley AFB VA, is in the process of determining the acquisition strategy to obtain contractor support for non-personal services in support of Surrogate Unmanned Aerial System (SUAS) Green Flag Exercise Support at Barksdale AFB LA. The objective of this PWS is to provide an economical alternative to deploying an MQ-1 UAS to support ACC sponsored GFE training events. The focus of this initiative is on sensor, voice and data communication capabilities having sufficient fidelity to ?mimic? those provided by the Predator system, and to provide a training capability that is currently unavailable for participating Command and Control (C2) units, aircrews, and ground parties. The initial period of performance will begin 1 October 2007 ? 30 September 2008, with the possibility of option years being included. The government expects to make an award on or about August 2007. This acquisition will be issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP) on or about June 2007. A draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) will be issued in conjunction with this sources sought notice. The predecessor contract for SUAS services was awarded as an 8(a) set aside. The government seeks industry input to determine if this acquisition should remain an 8(a) set-aside under the auspices of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 19. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 541519 with a size standard of $23.M. Interested 8(a) business who are certified and qualified as a 8(a) in NAICS 541519 shall submit a package outlining their capabilities in key areas as determined by the government as relevant to the performance of this requirement. Interested 8(a) concerns are encouraged to respond and submit their capability statement(s) to this office NLT COB on 2 May 2007. Please provide these packages via email to MSgt Pamela Mitchell, ACC AMIC/PKB, 757-225-5797, Pamela.mitchell@langley.af.mil . Comments on the draft PWS are not requested at this time. The government plans to use the Internet and e-mail as the primary means of disseminating and exchanging information. Hard copies of documents posted on FBO will not be made available. The government will provide email confirmation of receipt of your statements. If companies do not receive an email confirmation after submitting their package, they are urged to verify receipt telephonically.
