Description

The Air Force District of Washington Acquisition Division intends to award a Firm Fixed Price effort to Indoor Environmental Services, Inc. (IES), located at 2450 Lower Marlboro Rd, Owings, MD 20736, a small business concern, to provide carpet cleaning service to the National Military Command Center (NMCC) located in the Pentagon. Period of performance is May and September of 2007. The NMCC supports the Secretary of Defense (SECDEF) and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS). This agency receives numerous visits from high ranking domestic and foreign visitors requiring that the facility?s appearance must remain at a high standard. In order to support this, the NMCC must clean the carpet on the raised flooring system and still be able to maintain its mission. IES is, currently, the only known carpet cleaning service that provides restorative low moisture shampoo that cleans the carpet and protects the adhesive on the raised floor tiles. The procedure that IES uses to clean carpeted areas will be dry within 30 minutes and can be walked on immediately, preventing personnel from having to relocate to another work area during the time the carpet is being cleaned. Currently, IES is the only capable source found that can satisfy this agency's need. The NAICS Code and the small business size standards for this award are 561740 and $4.5M, respectively. The award will be made on or about 01 May 2007. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
